We are an early stage start-up, building a community driven e-marketplace where people can buy groceries collectively with friends and save money.

Why SquadBid

With the current cost of living crisis, everything has become very expensive. This is an attempt to see if we can bring the prices down by buying together as a team. As you all know, bulk buying is always cheaper than buying a single unit.

How do we do it

We consolidate the orders from you and your friends and bulk buy from the supplier. Unlike the retail shops, we don't take a profit. We add the logistics(sorting, packing & delivery) costs to the vegetables and groceries prices.

Not just savings for you but also for the environment!

Typically you would order from an online website or buy from a retail shop. Multiple people use multiple cars on different days to go to these shops. Resulting in a lot of carbon emissions.

With Squadbid, you would all collect from your Squad Leader, who is usually less than a mile away from you, thereby reducing carbon emissions.

Our deliveries are done by electric vans and bikes. So zero carbon emissions on deliveries to Squad Leaders & Users.

How do you make money

To keep our services running and account for admin costs, we plan to charge a tiny subscription fee once we are live with multiple products like groceries, vegetables and daily essentials. Said that, our first priority is to ensure users make big savings using Squadbid platform and these savings are much higher compared to the tiny subscription fee.

Until then, the platform is free to use.
